Description: Colourless transparent tabular rhombic crystals; becomes gray or grayish-black on exposure to light in the presence of organic matter; odourless; bitter caustic metallic taste.
General Information: Mixtures with combustible material are readily ignited and may burn fiercely. Useful in the production of mirrors, as an antiseptic, as a histology stain, and as a versatile precursor to many other silver compounds, such as those used in photography.
