MERCK Direct-Q® UV Water Purification System

Direct-Q® systems deliver both pure and ultrapure water directly from tap for use with a wide variety of applications in your lab. Direct-Q® systems can be equipped with integrated or external reservoirs and are designed for under bench-, bench- or wall-mounting. The system’s built-in 185nm UV lamp reduces the levels of organics for critical applications. You can fine-tune your ultrapure water quality to match your applications using Application specific point-of-use polishers to remove specific contaminants such as bacteria, particulates, pyrogen, nucleases, endocrine disruptors or volatile organic compounds.

Direct-Q® systems deliver both RO (Type 3) and ultrapure (Type 1) water directly from tap.

With the Direct-Q® range of water purification systems, you benefit from a choice of ultrapure water configurations. All systems produce Type 1 water (18.2 MΩ•cm at 25 °C ultrapure water) on demand from the RO stage, the first step in the purification chain. Depending on daily volume needs, different RO production flow rates are available (3, 5 & 8 L/h). Type 3 water is easily available from the 6L built-in storage tank, or the external 30/60 L storage tanks for the higher flow rates, or can be sent by a distribution pump to feed instruments such as a glassware washing machine.

For applications sensitive to organic contaminants and requiring ultrapure water, a UV version of the Direct-Q® system is also available. It incorporates a dual wavelength UV lamp for photooxidation of organic compounds. A final purification step at the point-of-dispense removes specific contaminants critical for your experiments. A range of purification cartridges and Application-Paks is available for you to select according to your requirements.
