Kestrel Weather Meters

The Kestrel 3550 series provides accurate, handheld weather monitoring for agriculture and fire management. The 3550AG helps applicators reduce spray drift and document conditions, while the 3550FW delivers critical weather data to support safe and effective wildfire operations. Both meters are rugged, waterproof, Bluetooth-enabled, and measure key conditions like wind, temperature, humidity, and pressure, making them reliable tools for confident decisions in the field.

Kestrel 3550AG Spraying Weather Meter

Avoid spray drift and maximise application results with this portable and connected handheld weather meter. Off-target pesticide drift can not only cause damage to nearby vulnerable crops but also pose a serious threat to people, livestock, wildlife, and the surrounding community.

Farmers put themselves and their operations at risk every time they spray a field without documenting the wind speed and environmental conditions. The 3550AG with Bluetooth Connectivity makes it easy to instantly capture and log accurate, field-level weather data with just one-click.

No matter the size of your operation – effective herbicide and pesticide application is critical to your success. Prevent drift, eliminate waste, ensure safety and effectiveness – it all starts with monitoring your conditions.

Impeller:

Every Kestrel Meter features a large, 1” impeller mounted on a sapphire jewel bearing, which means it starts rotating with the slightest puff of air – 0.48 km/h to be exact! This patented impeller is user-replaceable by simply pushing it out with your thumbs, which means it can easily be replaced if it is damaged or worn. The measurements from the wind impeller are taken magnetically. The impeller is not glued or attached to the unit. Because every new impeller is calibrated in the wind tunnel at the USA factory, if your application demands regular calibration, simply pop in a new impeller and the Kestrel Wind Meter is restored to like-new factory calibration standards. The Kestrel 3550FW can easily be switched between °F, °C, mph, km/h, ft/min, m/s, knots and Beaufort.
