If you’re after high grade ethanol, you’ll need to meet one of the following criteria:

• – You (person or entity) hold current concessional spirits permit and the nominated supplier on that permit is Imbros (you can specify up to 4 suppliers on your application). Please note that we can’t supply more than the quantity that is specified on your permit, no matter how nicely you ask.
• – You (person or entity) fall into one of the below categories of professionals and institutions:
  • + Health care practitioners (pharmacist, doctor, chiropractor, dentist, osteopath, physiotherapist, or registered nurse)
  • + Veterinary practitioners
  • + Medical, government, and educational institutions

In order to apply for the concessional spirits permit, you’ll need to lodge an application with the ATO. For detailed instructions and links, see our guide.

Most of the chemicals listed as ‘Schedule 4’, if you’re based in Tasmania, will require a permit from the Department of Health and Human Services. If you’re from another state, please find the appropriate department to contact from this list.

Most of the poisons listed here for agriculture or veterinary applications (AgVet Chemicals) will require a permit from the Department of Primary Industries, Parks, Water and Environment. You can get in touch with the Agriculture department on:
