The 24th International Seaweed Symposium will be held for the first time in Australia on Sunday 19th to Friday 24th February 2023. Furthermore, it is taking place in our hometown; Hobart, Tasmania.

As an Australian scientific instrument supplier with a large focus on aquaculture and oceanographic instrumentation, Imbros is proud to be sponsoring this event. With International travel restrictions to Australia lifted, we hope as many of you as possible will be able to join us for the 24th ISS in Australia’s southern most state, Tasmania. If you are not able to travel, online attendance and participation will also be available.

With nearly 1000 members from around Australia, AMSA is Australia’s peak professional marine science body. Their annual conferences allow institutions and marine scientists from all over the country to showcase cutting edge research and technologies, while strengthening networks and collaboration.

This year’s theme is ‘Marine Science for a Blue Economy’; a look at science that contributes to the health of our oceans and marine life, while also sustaining the economic and societal benefits that accompany a growing nation.
